Mizuni Motiv Zone Integration Server.

A Zone Integration Server (ZIS) is the central middleware component of the Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF) specification and serves as the router of data between disparate information systems.

The approach when designing the Mizuni Motiv Zone Integration Server
was simple:

Design a Zone Integration Server that complies with the SIF specification and
meets the most stringent feature and performance requirements, yet is simple to understand and maintain.

Applying years of corporate Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) consulting, Mizuni designed the Motiv ZIS using the latest technologies to deliver on this design approach. To meet the demands from educators, the Motiv ZIS goes beyond the requirements of the SIF specification to create the most powerful and flexible ZIS on the market.

Built using the Microsoft .NET technology and leveraging the performance of Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), the Mizuni Motiv ZIS feature set is extensive:

• Support for SIF versions 1.1, 1.5 and 1.5r1.
• Robust Xml Transformation engine allowing agents of different SIF versions to be compatible within the same zone, providing true plug-and-play agent deployment.

• Secure access to an intuitive web-based administration console.
• Microsoft Explorer style navigation displaying districts, zones and agents in a tree view.
• Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) technology for a simpler and more responsive user interface.
• Robust message tracking, allowing contents and delivery status to be easily viewed and searched.
• Configurable auto-alert allowing ZIS status messages to be emailed to administrators.
