A historical data warehouse has always been a critical component of any information management strategy. Other data warehouse solutions require extensive deployment investments to extract, transform and load (ETL) your data into a proprietary data format for storage, analysis and delivery. This typically has to be done continuously to get updated data into the warehouse.
The Mizuni approach is different. The Mizuni Motiv Data Warehouse utilizes the School Interoperability Framework (SIF) to extract, transform and load data into the warehouse. This not only eliminates the initial ETL costs, but also provides the data warehouse with continuous updates giving users the most recent information.
